Born in Washington, DC and raised by my Grandmother who was born in South Carolina,
kindled my passion for cooking and good food at an early age. As early as the age of 8, I
began cooking and you could find me in the kitchen with my Grandmother just about every
time she was preparing a meal or baking a cake. While sometimes playing "sous chef", I
would ask my Grandmother how she prepared certain foods and why she used certain
ingredients. By the time I was 11, I took my first Home Economics class and was hooked.
While my Grandparents worked, I would prepare different items using recipes from an old
recipe book, eat or feed my friends the items I prepared and clean up before they arrived
home.
I love great tasting food, especially cuisines from different types of Cultures. I love to
read or watch shows about the history of various ethnic dishes and prepare them as well.
By preparing these wonderful dishes for you, whether it's American Regional, Southern,
Italian or Moroccan, will not only let you enjoy an amazing epicurean experience, but also
bring families together to enjoy great food, great fun and each other.
